About F & M Caterers

Back in the 1960’s, as a young man, Felix Fezzouglio took work in a local delicatessen in South Jersey. Then, in 1968, the owner of a small shopping center on a dirt road (Church Road) in Mount Laurel, NJ convinced Felix’s dad to open a delicatessen there. Dad wasn’t too interested but he had 2 sons and a daughter and since Felix had been learning the business for a few years, decided to give it a try.

Felix, brother Danny and sister Joanne opened F & M Delicatessen September 28, 1968.  “I remember it like it was yesterday”, says Joanne.  From the very first day, people stood in line for freshly sliced meats and cheeses, sandwiches and Jewish Style delicacies. Their mother, Maria, ran the checkout. 
 
“Nova was 89 cents a quarter pound”, Joanne told me with a chuckle. “It’s an art to slice lox, you know. I was very slow at first and people would call ahead so they didn’t have to wait….I got better after a while!”  
 
Naturally, customers began ordering sandwich trays, holiday and party food and as the requests came in, we filled them.  We added slicing machines, cooking equipment, ovens, grill, cooks and sandwich makers and even a fleet of vans and trucks to accommodate what we have become….One Of South Jersey’s Premier Caterers.
 
We now cater at over a dozen South Jersey venues for family functions, weddings, Bar & Bat Mitzvahs, Sweet 16 parties, Holy Communion receptions, corporate events and Barbecues.
